Challenge

The main problem of the client was a slow manual process of preparing documentation for the costing phase. Teams were using standalone tools during different phases of the workflow.

The costing process itself also was considered as an area for improvement since algorithms in use were not straightforward and produced results that were conflicting with human-produced results.

Solution

To address the client’s challenge of a slow and fragmented documentation process in the costing phase, we implemented a centralized digital workflow system that streamlined data input, processing, and collaboration across teams. This system replaced standalone tools with an integrated platform, ensuring seamless data flow between different phases of the workflow.

To improve the costing process, we developed a customized algorithmic model that aligned more closely with human expertise. The new algorithm was designed to enhance accuracy by incorporating historical data. Additionally, we introduced a validation mechanism that cross-referenced system-generated results with expert inputs, reducing discrepancies and increasing trust in the automated process.
